PHUOC LAM PAGODA

  Phuoc Lam pagoda has the history of about 200 years which is the relic with beautiful architecture and landscape. The system of statues in the pagoda is various; next to the lotus lake, there is Quan Am Nam Hai statue, in the Central Chamber, there is A Di Da Tam Ton statue, Thich Ca A Nan statue, Ca Diep statue, Phat Nhap Niet Ban statue, wooden Chuan De statue, clay Sir Giam statue,... Especially, the pagoda also keeps Vish Nu statue which is very valuable and made of stone since the last date of Phu Nam - Chan Lap period (around Vllth century). Phuoc Lam pagoda is the Buddhism center of the province where attracts many visitors throughout the country to worship and celebrate ceremonies and visit. LINH SON ANCIENT PAGODA

  Linh Son ancient pagoda is an ancient pagoda located on Hoang Hoa Tham street, ward 2, Vung Tau city. In the central chamber, there is a Buddhist statue with height of 1.2m which was made of stone and covered with gold and carved very skillfully. The legend says that more than 100 years ago, a Ship crew entered Bai Truoc for fishing and when they climbed on Lon mountain to fetch firewood, they accidentally found out there were two Buddhist statues made of stone hidden under the soil and stone on the mountain side near Bai Dau . They together excavated the statues and held a ceremony to take them home. However the local people knew and prevented them to do that because that was the historical relic of the local people so they determined to keep these statues. Then the fisher people in the Central people were permitted to receive graciously the small statue to worship and the big statue was moved by the local people to the Central Chamber. THE WORLDWIDE ARMS MUSEUM
