Da Nang Museum

Da Nang Museum was established in 1989. It was later rebuilt at a new location within the precinct of the national historical relic of Dien Hai Citadel at No 24 Tran Phu Street, Thach Thang Ward, Hai Chau District. It is equipped with modern audio/visual equipment and lighting systems. The new museum was inaugurated and opened for visitors on 26 April 2011.   Da Nang Museum covers a three-storey display area of 3,000 m2.  It introduces more than 2,500 valuable documents, photographs and exhibits about the history and culture of Da Nang and its surrounding areas.  They include more than 1,900 originals which have been collected since Liberation Day in 1975.   Address:           - 24 Tran Phu Street, Thach Thang Ward, Hai Chau District                         - Tel: (+84...

Ho Chi Minh Museum and Military Zone No 5 Museum

The Ho Chi Minh Museum has 3 display rooms of photographs and articles about the life and career of Ho Chi Minh. It also has a replica of his house in Ha Noi.       The adjacent Military Zone No 5 Museum has 12 display rooms of photographs, objects and models depicting the struggles by soldiers and people from Military Zone No 5 as they protected national independence and territory in the two persistent wars against the French and American invaders; and the outdoor displays of aircraft, vehicles and guns from the war.      - Address: 3, Duy Tan Street, Hai Chau District - Tel: (+84 511) 3624014 / 3615982 - Opening hours: The museum is open daily from 7.30 am to 11 am and from 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm.

Dong Dinh Private Museum

Dong Dinh Private Museum is the first private museum in Da Nang. Located in Hoang Sa Street, Son Tra District, the 10,000m2 museum is set in a garden in harmony with the natural surroundings of the Son Tra Peninsula. Artist Doan Huy Giao is the museum’s curator and owner.   Artefacts date back 100 to 2,500 years, and some belonged to ancient cultures including the Sa Huynh, Cham Pa and Dai Viet.  Many of the more recent items were collected from ethnic minority tribes of the central region and highlands of Viet Nam.  It has become an interesting destination for tourists visiting Da Nang. For the moment, the museum is open at weekends, holidays and for booked tours.
