The Hai Chau Communal House is located in Phan Chau Trinh Street, Hai Chau 1 Ward. There is a large lake, ornamental rocks and a 100-year-old Bodhi tree in front of the house. The Chinese words “Hai Chau Chanh Xa (Hai Chau Region)” are inscribed on the three-door gate.
Behind the large courtyard is the Hai Chau Temple, a building for worshipping ancestors, and two family temples. The temple on the left side is for the Nguyen Van family, and the one on the right is Kinh An Tu which has 42 ancestral tablets worshipping 42 families who originated from Hieu Hien Hamlet, Hai Chau Commune, Ngoc Son District, Tinh Gia, Thanh Hoa Province. All of the 42 families followed King Le Thanh Ton into the southern region in the year of Tan Mao (1471). Then the king established Han Giang Commune (now Da Nang) and they gathered at Hai Chau village to lay the foundations, and contribute to the formation of Da Nang over the next 500 years.

With an area of 3 sq km and a population of over 3 million, K20 used to be one of the key revolutionary bases near Da Nang. K20 was the secret code name used by the People’s Committee of District III in communications during the American war.
When Da Nang was occupied by the American forces in 1954, they built many military posts around Da Man, and kept a tight control of the local people to prevent from attacks by revolutionary soldiers. In these circumstances, the revolutionary heroism of the Da Man people grew and became a leading example for the local revolution movement.
The K20 Historical Relic is situated at Da Man Group, Bac My An Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, on the road from Da Nang to the Marble Mountains and Hoi An Ancient Town.
A traditional house has been constructed for displaying objects from this brave and persistent struggle. Each item is a reminder of a real person, a place or an event in national history. Some residents still live here...

Long Thu Pagoda Stele is located at An Long Pagoda (formerly called Long Thu Pagoda) behind the Museum of Cham Sculpture, Binh Hien Ward, Hai Chau District.
The stele was erected in the fifth year of King Thinh Duc’s reign, in the Le Than Tong Dynasty (1658), and it was inscribed by Mr Le Gia Phuoc (religious name was Phap Giam) who was born in Hai Chau District. The stele was inscribed with the reasons for building the pagoda, the meaning of the name Long Thu Pagoda, and the names of the people who had made contributions to the pagoda’s construction.
According to the stele’s content, Buddha with the appearance of a dragon’s head usually helps miserable people, so Buddhist followers come here to pray. Mr Tran Huu Le donated a garden to build a pagoda for worshipping the Buddha. Other followers donated money for the pagoda’s construction, bell casting, and sculptured statues in 1653.
