The capital city of Hanoi has launched what it calls a “golden tour” taking tourists to museums, historical relics and tourist attractions in the city.

The tour, organized by the Hanoi Tourist Corporation in collaboration with the cultural and scientific center of Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature) and the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, connects tourists’ accommodations with other tourist spots, restaurants and shopping malls as well as provide other tour guide services.

In particular, the tour is designed to connect luxury hotels such as Thang Long Opera Hanoi, Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, Hotel De L’Opera, Hilton Opera Hanoi, Hoa Binh Hotel and Melia Hanoi Hotel with some popular sightseeing spots - Hanoi Old Quarter, Ngoc Son Temple, the Vietnamese Women’s Museum, the Temple of Literature, and Ba Dinh Square.

One of the highlights of the tour is a new tourism product called “Traditional Fondness of Learning”, taking visitors to the Temple of Literature to learn more about the learning tradition through paintings displayed at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum.

Apart from discovering the picturesque beauty of cultural and historical relics, tourists will have the opportunity to meet with artisans and painters to gain a deep insight into the traditional techniques of making handicraft products.

In the coming time, the organizer will launch an automatic voice-over service in eight languages to meet the growing diverse demands of tourists from different geographical locations around the globe.

The number of international visitors to the capital in this year to date has seen a pickup of 23.5% while domestic tourists arriving in Hanoi during the period rose 7% year-on-year.
