What is lacquer-ware

Lacquer-ware refers to wooden or fibreglass objects painted and preserved with lacquer. Lacquer is a clear, water-resistant resin made from the sap of the Rhus Succedanea tree. The application of lacquer to wooden artefacts is an ancient process dating back thousands of years.
