With an area of 3 sq km and a population of over 3 million, K20 used to be one of the key revolutionary bases near Da Nang. K20 was the secret code name used by the People’s Committee of District III in communications during the American war.

When Da Nang was occupied by the American forces in 1954, they built many military posts around Da Man, and kept a tight control of the local people to prevent from attacks by revolutionary soldiers.  In these circumstances, the revolutionary heroism of the Da Man people grew and became a leading example for the local revolution movement.

The K20 Historical Relic is situated at Da Man Group, Bac My An Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, on the road from Da Nang to the Marble Mountains and Hoi An Ancient Town.

A traditional house has been constructed for displaying objects from this brave and persistent struggle. Each item is a reminder of a real person, a place or an event in national history.  Some residents still live here and work in the city.
