Loc An port was selected as the arrival port for Khong So ships because in the past Xuyen Moc coastal area was thinly populated area with advantage of sea adjoining to the forest.

In this port, 3 ships of army troop 125 of naval forces arrived the port successfully with 109 tons of weapons supply for Southeast battlefield and contributed to the famous victories such as Binh Gia, Dong Xoai, Dau Tieng - Bau Bang,… and defeated the strategy of "Special War" prepared by America. Loc An port was recognized as the National historical revolution relic in 1995. Here a commemoration stele was constructed to commemorate the heroic activities of Khong So ships in the past.
