LONG TAN HOLY CROSS STELE

Long Tan Holy Cross Stele was constructed by the Australian Roya Army on 18/08/1969 to commemorate the Austrahan soldiers who sacrificed in Southeast Battlefield in the mopping-up with the cooperation between Australian Army and Tan Tay Lan on 18/08/1966.

The stele was constructed with reinforced concrete with simple Holy Cross but they bear a deep meaning of the history about the Vietnamese war. Thousands of veterans of Australia Royal Army vtsited this place to commemorate their companions in arms. On 16/11/1988, the Holy Cross Stele was recognized by the Ministry of Culture and lnformation as national historical relic.
