17/06/2016 22:17Quan Am Pagoda was founded in 1957 by former monk Thich Phap Nhan at Kim Son (Metal or Gold), one of the Marble Mountains. It is located at 48, Su Van Hanh Street, Ngu Hanh Son District. A statue of Quan Am (Goddess of Mercy or Avalokitecvara Bodhisattva) formed from a stalagmite provides a mystical air at this pagoda.
The Quan The Am Festival, held annually at this pagoda on the 19th day of the second lunar month, attracts thousands of Buddhists. It was chosen as one of the 15 festivals of Viet Nam to welcome in the new millennium in 2000.
This pagoda is especially sacred, so many visitors come here to pray for happiness and good luck.
