1. Trung Vuong Theatre

Trung Vuong Theatre is located in the centre of Da Nang, at the junction of three main streets -  Phan Chu Trinh, Nguyen Chi Thanh and Hung Vuong.  The theatre is large and airy with a modern design.  It frequently hosts traditional arts performances, such as “tuong” and “cai luong”, and modern performances of opera, ballet and music.  In addition, many conferences, seminars, publicity events, youth festivals, and singing and dancing programmes are held, which meet the demands of the city’s citizens for the enjoyment of cultural and performing arts activities.  The theatre plays an important role in improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people of Da Nang.

2. Nguyen Hien Dinh “Tuong” Theatre

The theatre was named after the composer, artist and teacher Nguyen Hien Dinh, who made a great contribution to the “tuong” performing art of Viet Nam.  This performing art is a skilful combination of performance, dance, singing, gestures, make-up and music.  “Tuong” is a complete and typical form of classical Vietnamese opera.
